There’s no doubt that a visit to the Blue Mountains is a must do activity. Fortunately, this popular weekend destination has a range of pet-friendly accommodation from basic to high end. Here are a few of our recommended places to stay in the Blue Mountains with a dog, cat or even a bird.
This small quaint 2-bedroom mountain retreat is perfect for a couple, some friends or a small family. The garden is fully fenced and the veranda can also be secured. However, athletic dogs can easily jump over the veranda fence.

Centennial Lodge Cottage
All types of pets are welcome to stay at this rural self-contained cottage – please check with management at time of booking. Located a 15-minute drive from Blackheath, the property is surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the escarpments. Pet-friendly features include a fenced 2-acre paddock, welcome doggy snacks on arrival and poop pickup bags provided. A 2-night minimum stay applies.

This self-contained 1-bedroom cottage has fantastic Blue Mountains views and a large fenced garden area and great walks on the property for you and your pet. All house-trained pets are welcome inside but confirm the type of pet you have on inquiry. The cottage also has doggie door access.

Dogs are welcome inside the house and are free to roam in the secure 300 sqm area, and receive treats on arrival. The property is just a half hours drive from Katoomba, near Lake Lyell. Only well-behaved house trained dogs are accepted and must be mentioned on inquiry.
