Pet-Friendly Cafes & Pubs
While in town, a visit to the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina is a “must” and many of Port Douglas’s cafes welcome pets. We visited Hemingway’s Brewery where dogs will be just as at home as their human owners in the outdoor area.
This brewery serves award-winning craft beers that are produced in the Far North.
Pets are welcome but it is advised that you call ahead first as it can get busy. Be sure to try their gin paddles!

You can stop off at the Captain Cook Highway Rock Stacks, an obligatory destination for Instagram-worthy snaps. The origins of who started the rock stacks remain unknown, which only adds to their intrigue. They’re located just before the Rex Lookout but it’s important to take care when pulling in here as the stopping bay is positioned for south-bound traffic.
