Merimbula’s Day Off
Ferris Bueller: ‘Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it‘.
Sound familiar? So why not head down the NSW coast? Where you can relax with your friends, both furry and otherwise, and choose from a great variety of places to stay with your pet.
After a recent visit I was happy to see that there are more pet-friendly places in this pretty town, of just under 7000 people, than when I went before. Oh, and the beaches are pretty awesome too!
Accommodation in self catering cabins, 1, 2 & 3 bedroom, solar heated pool, BBQ areas, playgrounds. Just 200mts down the grassland is beautiful Short Point Beach which is Pet friendly as is the reserve out to the headland. Pet friendly most of the year – but not during peak Easter & Summer – ring & ask about exact dates.

Sapphire Valley Caravan Park
The park’s ‘Hideaway’ cabins have now been opened up as pet friendly cabins! The Hideaway cabin is fully self-contained with 2 bedrooms and will sleep up to 6 people – so plenty of room for the whole family, with a fully enclosed front veranda to keep your pet safe and secure. Pets are welcome in the park all year round except for the Christmas/January school holidays.
