Kangaroo Country Caravan Park is located on the Bruce Highway, about 22 kilometres outside Rockhampton.

Convenient for an overnight stay for those travelling with pets, and set on 5 acres of bushland.

Guests with pets can either stay in their own accommodation or the deluxe pet-friendly cabin (great for light sleepers due to the park’s proximity to the highway and train track).

The park has a large aviary and a talkative cockatiel near the entrance, which is entertaining as the bird greets everyone with a friendly “hello” on arrival.

The park has no Wi-Fi, so expect a night away from social media.

Like many parks, this has both short and long term residents.

Kangaroo Country Caravan Park also welcomes cats.
